About Moonshot Photos…
Greetings! My name is Zac Zavala and I am a self taught photographer from Solano County.
My passion for photography started in 2015 when I went to the UK for the first time and invested in my first DSLR to document the experience. I haven’t put the camera down since!
I honed my skill over the next couple of years out in nature documenting some of the amazing landscapes that our fantastic planet has to offer.
I shot exclusively film for a year. Film is a cruel teacher, but I feel like it really helped me understand the fundamentals of the craft.
All of this experience culminated to launching my business, Moonshot Photos in 2019. Unfortunately I hit a pretty powerful speed bump shortly after and my life took a tremendous detour. That detour lead me to pursing a life long dream of concert photography in 2021 when the world was coming out of the lockdown. I started posting to my Instagram account @gothboyclicks444, and was presented with unimaginable opportunity. I met so many incredible people and bands that I will cherish for the rest of my life. This experience gave me the opportunity to hop in a van and literally tour around the world. I am grateful for every moment and connection I’ve made during this time but deep down, I knew that this path was unsustainable.
I am confident and have faith that I am on this planet for a specific reason. I was blessed with the talent to capture and document life’s fleeting moments.
